About David Hall
David Hall teaches History and Theory of Knowledge at Sevenoaks School. Formerly, he taught History, English and Theory of Knowledge in Latin America, History, English and Classics in Scotland, and History in the Middle East. He has published on history, literature and education in The Herald, Times Educational Supplement, Ancient Warfare Magazine and several other publications. A graduate of the Universities of St. Andrews, Oxford and Cambridge, he played golf for the latter and is a contributor to Golf Quarterly. For many years now he has contributed programme articles on the background to history plays performed at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, working for writers and directors including Eric Schlosser, Glyn Maxwell, Howard Brenton, Simon Armitage and Matthew Dunster.
