About Michael Morrison

Michael Morrison has a PhD in energy economics from the University of Cambridge and spent his career working in the energy industry. Having played golf for over 50 years, in retirement he now also researches and writes about the history of the game. In recent years, he has published four books: The Links on the Hills (2015); The Worst Golf Course Ever (2016); The Origins of the Sacred Nine (2018) and The Great English Golf Boom (2022).
